Sone Dentistry on Stonehaven. Newmarket Dentist

As the 3rd Wave diminishes...

Come see what changes we've made to keep you safe!

Getting Dental Care in 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic has made it harder for some people in Newmarket and Aurora, and all of Ontario to take care of their dental health.

Sone Dentistry would like to see you again – and your safety is our priority!

We have over 15 years of extensive ongoing training as infection prevention and control experts, we are here to keep the dental office safe during the pandemic. That means even more safety measures than before, such as extra personal protective equipment (PPE), changes to waiting rooms, enhanced air quality, advanced screenings, and touchless thermometers.

Dental problems are easier and less expensive to treat before you can see or feel them, which is why it’s important to resume your regular appointments so that we can catch any problems early. Call us at (905) 235-9111 or email and find out what your options are.

Because the last thing you need this year is a toothache...

Welcome BACK!!!

Life has been anything but normal in 2020, and we sincerely hope you and your family are in good health. The Ministry of Health has lifted the restrictions placed back in March, and we are excited to offer non-essential, urgent, emergent and hygiene care once again. While many things have changed since then, one thing has remained the same: Our commitment to your health and safety.

Our office has always followed strict infection control standards and in order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and in the future, we have updated our protocols above and beyond those recommended by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and Public Health Ontario.

Some of the changes we implemented prior to reopening our office include:

  • Plexiglass barrier around the entire front desk.

  • A hand sanitizer station is available at the entrance of the office.

  • No waiting area and toys, books, plants have been removed as these items are difficult to disinfect.

  • Each operatory was HVAC checked prior to reopening to determine the patient waiting time (fallow period), and hospital-grade HEPA air purifiers have been installed.

  • Each operatory has been equipped with self-closing barriers professionally installed. These barriers are wiped clean and disinfected after each patient encounter.

  • High touch surfaces including doorknobs, handrails, plexiglass are disinfected three times daily.

When we see you at your next appointment, things will be a little different.

  • If possible, we ask that forms be completed at home and emailed to our office ahead of your appointment. This includes new patient forms, consent forms, and new insurance policy information. Like most businesses these days, we appreciate cashless transactions as well.

  • We will ask some screening questions before your appointment and you will be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.

  • Your temperature will be checked using a contactless thermometer at check-in. Rest assured that staff has their temperatures checked before every shift as well.

  • We ask that you always maintain social distancing.

  • You may be asked to wait outside our office or in your car and call us when you arrive and then wait for a call back to let you know when you can enter the office.

  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter and exit the clinic. There are more dispensers around the office for you to use as needed. You will be required to wear a mask inside the office except during the provision of care.

  • You may be asked to use a hydrogen peroxide rinse for 60 seconds prior to your appointment as an added safety precaution.

  • Appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing between patients. That might mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointment, but it will also reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. Please be patient as we adapt to these new changes and attempt to see all urgent and non-urgent matters, we were unable to see since March.

  • You may be surprised that we are wearing more protective gear – such as fit-tested seal-checked N95 masks, goggles, face shields, gowns – than we normally do during your visit. These changes are necessary to keep us and you safe.

We are still the same smiling faces underneath all that protective equipment happy to see you again.

Rest assured, all these procedures are designed to create the safest environment for you, your family, other patients, and our team.

We look forward to seeing you again. If you have any questions, please let us know. To make an appointment,
